Spend yourself for others

APOLOGY. The recording level was unfortunately very low this week - you may need to turn your volume up. Sorry.

We are studying 2 Cor 12:11-13:4.  Because Paul didn't ask for financial support, teachers in Corith were suggesting that is was not worth anything!  Here, Paul defends himself and explains that he didn't ask for support because he chose to spend his life for them, pouring himself out that they might live and grow in God.  He is about to visit them again and is concerned that them might not be living up to the righteousness of God and that he will have to discipline them, so he appeals to them to respond to his encouragement and challenge now!

3 questions we can ask as we consider our response to Paul's example might be...
1. Are you spending yourself for the body?
2. Are you exhausted? If you are in this group, ignore qu. 1 for now, but know that God wants to refresh you!
3. How can we support our leaders?
Pray, Be friends,  Give,  Respond to their leading.
