Faith & Works
The morning starts with interaction with the children.
If we love Jesus, we show the world by what we do. Actions speak louder than words.
Jesus enpowers us to go and share the good news.
We are not a holy huddle, we must not just look after our own members, but to be seen in the community.
What is the Good News?
Over the summer we are looking at what it means to be gospel people - those who share the good news of Jesus Christ! The first thing we need to know is what the good news actually is - not just in our heads but in our hearts. We were greatly priviledged to have Dave Perry, a well known Bible teacher across our international Salt & Light family of churches and theologian in residmore
Let us love one another
Dan talks about the importance of loving one another as a church family from 1 John 4:7-12 & 19-21 during the dedication of Jacob Evans. John was pretty strong on the idea of loving one another:more
Jesus changes everything
Have taken a tour through the Old Testament with E100, today we started the New Testament, looking at the arrival of Jesus and how he changes EVERYTHING. In John chapter 1 we see that Jesus has always been there, that he was with the Father in intimate relationship and that He is God himself - so God has always been Christ-like and everything that happens in the Old Testament has to more
Prophets: priorities, promises and purpose
Ed wraps up our time in the old testmanent as part of E100, talking about the end of the OT story and introducing the prophetic books we will be reading from this nest week. The prophets spoke to the Israelites to call them back to their covenant with God through the law, and although we are now under a different covenant they still speak to us of the heart of God: calling us to look at omore
Rise & Fall of Israel
Today we consider a huge swathe of history - from Saul, David and Solomon to the divided Kingdoms of Israel and Judah and the eventual fall of both. What marks a good king from a bad one? Not military victories, a long reign or great achievments, but whether or not they follow the ways of the Lord or not. God is the true king over his people! more
The OT law - is it relevant to us today?
Continuing our E100 series looking at the overview of the Bible story, we have come to the 'law' books Exodus-Deuteronomy. So much of the Old Testament concerns the law that God laid down to mark out His people and show them how to relate to Him, each other and nations around them - but given the new covenant Christ has brought us into, how relevant is this law to us? Does imore
Crossing over - starting to take the land.
Ed shared from the story of Joshua taking over from Moses and leading the people into the promised land about the new season we believe we are entering - when many things change, but the same God goes with us! It's no longer just about being called OUT of slavery, but being led INTO destiny.
Word to the church about mission/outreach
Bryn came to speak to a church midweek meeting to help us to step out in prophesy. As he spoke, he felt he had something to share with us as a church about the importance and urgency of mission at the start - this is the first audio file included here. Later in the meeting he had a specific word for us about persevering with outreach activity and this is the second file included hermore
Learning to hear God
Bryn came to speak to a church midweek meeting to help us to step out in prophesy. He imparted something special to us, mainly by example because God gave him a number of words for individuals: these have been removed from the recording, which may make it sound a little disjointed. However, it contains nearly all the teaching he gave us on hearing God and sharing prophetically, plusmore
