OCC are working to establish something new in Banbury.

WHAT?

Barrie & Mary Wood, who led our Bicester congregation for a number of years, are living in the town and have begun to build a network of friendships that will eventually become Pathways church.

HOW?

At present our focus is not on building a congregation competing with other churches in the town, but on forming friendships and taking the presence of Jesus into the community. The longer term intention is to develop small groups meeting informally in homes for fellowship, friendship, mutual support and worship. The groups may well develop in different ways but at the heart of each will be a focus on Jesus and the relevance of our faith in today's world. Eventually we hope to establish a network of such groups in Banbury itself and some of the surrounding villages and to have regular Sunday meetings.

WHY?

We want each person to walk the pathway of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and reach out to his or her "unchurched" friends, neighbours, work mates or other contacts with the love of Jesus.

WHEN?

At present we have a small group meeting for fellowship and prayer about once a month on Sunday mornings.

"JOURNEYS" - for those looking for spiritual realities

"ALPHA" - for those interested in the Christian faith

"A LIFE WORTH LIVING" - for new Believers

"THE MARRIAGE COURSE" - a course suitable for all couples wanting to enrich their marriage - not just those experiencing problems. STARTING OCTOBER!
