Barrie and Mary Wood have been believers since childhood and having lived in various parts of the country, settled in Oxfordshire in the 1970's.
They joined the fellowship in Kidlington which later became Oxford Community Church and served in various leadership roles throughout the 1980's. In 1991 they moved to Bicester as part of a small church plant, which they led for the next thirteen years as it grew into Bicester Community Church. On handing over the leadership to Steve & Tammi Beegoo in 1984 they then moved to Banbury to pioneer another new work for OCC. This has involved their return to secular work, but they regularly run various courses including Alpha, Journeys and The Marriage Course in their home, as they seek to see a more substantial church plant eventually come into being.
