Want to be more involved? There are lots of ways you can meet people and be part of church life.
If you've decided that Carterton Community Church is the right church for you then the best way to feel at home here is to get involved. Becoming a member of Carterton Community Church is simply becoming involved with us. We believe God's church is a family and everyone has a part to play.
We want to be a church where anyone can come, feel welcomed and accepted and find their way in at their own pace. Having said that, we strongly encourage Christians to become members as soon as possible, once they have decided that this is their church.
Membership is involvement! And if you wish to become a member there are four things we ask you to do:
- Attend Sunday services. This is the main time where the whole church gathers together to worship God.
- Join a small group. In a smaller group you will quickly get to know people better, as well have time to develop your relationship with God amongst friends.
- Find somewhere to serve. Jesus set a great example of servanthood and we encourage everyone to find a way that they practically join in with what the church is doing.
- Give a portion of your income regularly. That's a big commitment but Jesus taught us to worship God with everything we have - including our money.
