Church Weekend Away

18th - 20th March 2005

House of the Open Door, Childswickham

The church went away for a weekend together in the spring of 2005. A time to enjoy one another's company, to get great teaching from Mike & Liz Beaumont and John & Nom Bilson, to worship together and to hear God together.  It was a really significant time in the presence of God, and we are looking forward to what God is going to do.

The teaching started with a real encouragement to Think Big! and to look at the way in which Jesus gave such huge vision, promise and challenge to the disciples, but they also received a Big Experience of the Holy Spirit to help them.

We also looked much more practically at how the gifts of the Spirit can transform our christian lives both personally and corporately. Mike finished with some really helpful insights on the place for Christian character as well as gifting, as we looked at the Fruit of the Spirit.

The weekend finished, after a great time of worship lead by some of the younger members of the church, with a session from Dan Campsall on Following the Cloud; Direction for Spiritual People.
