Kids Praise this Sunday – all children welcome under 5’s need to be with an adult.

We welcome Roger Faulkner from Open Doors speaking today.

There will be a collection for Open Doors during the meeting.


Sunday is a Sunday social day from about 1pm till around 4pm.

We will be having a 'Bring and Share' Lunch, and afterwards if the weather is nice, we can go for a short walk.

This is open to everyone, but folks new to the church are especially welcome.

Please bring something to eat and / or drink, for the Bring and Share lunch.

New Church Building

Please be praying for the King’s Grove development as it enters a critical stage in the decision as to who is involved in managing the building. Pray for our team to have God’s wisdom in their conversations and input. A base for sending and a home for mission. Lord build your church in Wantage and area.


Alpha Course

We are running an Alpha course during the sermon on Sundays. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. Please pray for those on the course and those running the course – if you would like to provide cakes for this group one week please see Tyrone or Kristal.

Youth Evenings

Fridays are youth night for all young people Y7 up - all Welcome! Email D to go on our mailing list or if you would like to host. To go on the mailing list email Youth@wantagecc.org


Baby & Toddler Group- every Friday in term time talk to D, Jenny, Linda, Kristal or Liz. Mums, dads, grandparents, carers & mums to be all welcome. 9.15- 11.15 Wantage Methodist Church Hall.


Prayer and worship

7.30-9pm Cornerstone Cafe, Grove typically the second Sunday of each month next one TBC. A time of un-hurried worship and prayer and an opportunity to encounter God and make space for God to speak


Sunday Socials

These are held on the first Sunday of each month at Annie and Howard’s they start after Church with a ‘bring and share’ lunch, followed by a walk, or a film or something else (depending on the weather and what everyone would like to do).  Everyone is welcome, come for just the lunch or go home for lunch and join us later as you prefer. Foodbank: Packing Christmas Hampers Sunday 2nd December 2.30pm-6.30pm

Donations with Best before date at least to end of January need to be given by 14th November. It’s for families and individuals who find it hard to buy Christmas treats please donate tins – salmon or ham, mince pies, special jams, pickles chutneys savoury snacks, biscuits, and sweets.  There will be a box at Church for collection this Sunday or you can donate at Sainsbury’s.

Ladies Carols9th December 8pm

Do you like singing or play a musical instrument? The band for ladies’ carols would love to hear from you - please talk to Jenny Smith. It involves a few practice sessions and then playing on the evening of the 9th December.

Help needed with preparing Christmas cards for delivery.

We are printing Christmas cards for delivery to homes in Wantage and Grove again, this year. Help is needed to collate and pack the cards by street. The Gathering

Camping is back! At Lenchwood Christian Centre 25th -28th July 2019, there will be…



We will be gathering for vibrant, spirit-led worship! There will be times to worship as a whole church family together as well as worship in each group.


We have invited some great speakers to share inspirational and equipping preaching and teaching throughout the event.

Kids & Youth

We have an excellent range of groups for children and youth, catering for everyone between 0–18 years, with worship, games and teaching tailored to each group.


There will be loads of opportunity to spend time with people. We will also have recreation activities each afternoon.

China Trip 2019!!

Liz and Oliver are planning another trip to China April 8-21st April (provisionally) if you are interested please do talk to them by 31st October. Also, please do pray: Luke has struggled to settle back into China since their return in September and Susie has had a minor stroke - please pray for healing, peace and grace on the whole family.
