Jesus: A man to follow

Julie continues our series "Who is this Jesus?" from Mark's gospel, focussing on Mark 1:14-20 and 2:13-17

Jesus calls His disciples and they immediately dropped what they were doing to follow Him. Later, Levi was called and became the first evangelist; bringing his friends to a meal with Jesus as the special guest.

Who Jesus was and what he did meant He was followed, but there were at least three groups of followers:
The scribes and pharisees - in Mark, as a group they are always negative
The crowd - always amazed but not doing anything about it and eventualy turn on Jesus
The disciples - obdient but often uncomprehending

What is your response?  Jesus is a man to follow, not just hear and see - do you follow like the crowd or like a true disciple?
