Our Leaders
Steve and Bev Jones
In November 2005, Steve Jones took on the challenge of leading Oxford Community Church. Before that, Steve and Beverley had been members of the church for some years and were mentored for much of that time by the previous church leaders, Steve and Lorraine Thomas. Their mandate is to care for God's people and so to build a local church that would impact the city, the region and beyond.
Steve and Bev are passionate about following Jesus. They long to see people experience God's transforming love and then to go out and share Jesus with others. They also have two daughters, Amber and Lois. Before working for OCC, Steve did a D.Phil in the biology of cockroaches. As a church, we're pleased that he's moved onto better things!
Steve works with a team of elders to lead the church, and many more leaders play a part in our church community.

Lovely OCC people
Who does what?
In OCC, our focus is not on leaders' status, but on seeing lots of people functioning according to their God-given gifts. So, there are lots of people involved in leadership across the church, including the following areas of responsibility.
If you are unsure who to speak to about a given area of ministry, please contact the Church Office.
