I've not been blogging as much as I'd like over the last few weeks, and I haven't been able to explain why - but now I can!
Bev is pregnant and has been suffering a fair bit from morning sickness for the last few months. She's been working really hard to keep going, but has also had to sleep quite a bit. So, life's been a bit more of a challenge than normal. Obviously, we're very pleased and, having had a scan yesterday, are starting to tell people our good news.
Nom Bilson has also started to let people know that she is pregnant too! In fact, she and Bev have 'due dates' about a week apart, in late January/early Feb 2010.
Apart from that, I'm working hard to clear my desk before going to see the Bilsons next Tuesday. I had a meeting yesterday looking at plans for the autumn and into 2010, and am now spending this afternoon getting in touch with lots of people to arrange our Sunday preaching programme, etc. In the autumn, we're looking forward to welcoming Mark Marx (from 'Healing on the Streets': see www.out-there.org), Terry Virgo, Tim Hughes and Che Ahn for what looks set to be a great range of events.
I've also got some thoughts brewing for the autumn about 'thriving, not surviving' - but they will need to await another blog entry, since I ought to get on with making some phone calls!
