Postgrads
At OCC, we recognise that life as a postgrad can look quite different from that of an undergrad and comes with different concerns and schedules. Our postgrad small groups seek to provide a family for those doing graduate degrees here in Oxford. We gather each Thursday for dinner, worship, studying God's word, and getting equipped to share Jesus' love and the life-changing power of the Spirit with our friends. We have two cell groups, one led by Natalie and Scott, the other by Graham and Deborah. If you'd like to visit one of our groups, or if you have any questions about OCC's postgrad ministry, please contact Rachel at rachelmazyck@gmail.com!

Here's some thoughts from Deborah, one of our grad small group leaders, about her experience at OCC:
'To an international student away from family, community is important. The welcoming and inclusive spirit at OCC quickly put me at ease. I loved meeting the diverse people in church and our often spontaneous times of sharing and prayer. The friends I made at the graduate group soon became family. I could be myself with them. When I was under pressure, I'd draw on the strength of their concerted prayer and support. I had indeed found a home.
I was equally drawn to OCC for the impassioned faith I saw demonstrated. I've valued the honesty and intimacy of our group meetings, as we worship God, examine his word and apply it to our lives. Together, we've spurred each other on in living our academic lives Christianly. I've been challenged to listen to God more intently, to genuinely care for other people and love them as God does. At OCC I found the security of home as well as the space to mature the gifts God's given me and grow into His call on my life.'
