  Thinking of Visiting?

Home / Exploring Christianity / Visiting

Thinking of visiting? You are very welcome to join us at any of our midweek small groups or Sunday meetings.

Sundays

On Sundays we meet at The King’s Centre at 10.30 am. For directions, click here. These meetings normally last until about 12.45 pm, beginning with a time of musical praise and then listening to a talk explaining truths from the Bible. We have an informal style of meeting, in which we hope everyone feels relaxed, and there is plenty of opportunity to participate. There are always activities for children up to 11 years old, and usually for children up to 14 years old.

Amongst our regular Sunday meetings, we also have monthly ‘guest events’ and bimonthly ‘celebrations’.

The guest events are normally the last Sunday in the month. They start at 11am and finish around 12.15pm. These events are designed with enquirers and sceptics in mind, and always include a straightforward explanation of Christ’s teachings. More information, including dates of forthcoming events, can be found on the guest events page.

At our ‘Celebrations’ all of the Oxfordshire Community Churches gather together in The King’s Centre, often totalling about 750-1000 people. These are exciting gatherings and often include a visiting speaker. The large number of people means that many cannot park at The King’s Centre, and so we run a shuttle bus service from the Seacourt Park and Ride. On-site parking is restricted to those with parking permits. These are given to the disabled, elderly and parents with small children, and can be requested from the church office (297420, oxford@occ.org.uk).

Full details of our Sunday meetings, including our teaching programme, can be seen in the church diary.

Small groups

We consider our small groups to be essential to the life of the church, and the context in which genuine relationships can be built, as well as the place where outreach is most naturally done. We really want our small groups to be ‘reception rooms’ for people coming into God’s household. For more information on small groups, click here.
