Who are we?
Stepping Stones is a Christian pre-school, run by Members of Oxfordshire Community Churches. We are located at
The King’s School, New Yatt Road, Witney, Oxon. |

What are our aims?
To provide your child with a high quality of care where they
can grow personally, socially, emotionally, spiritually and
developmentally.
• As part of an extended family
• In the knowledge of Biblically based Christian values .
• Through Bible based topics which take into account the "Early
Learning Goals" (As in D.F.E.E. guidelines)
All learning happens through a balanced daily programme.
Our goal is to help prepare your child ready for the next step...
school.

What are the ages of the children?
Children usually start when they are two and a half, and stay
with us until they start school, which may vary depending on
the school of your choice.

What days are we open?
Stepping Stones runs during term time only, which is approximately 38 weeks a year.
At present we are registered for the following sessions:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.50am to 11.50am (3 hour session)
Friday 8.50- 12.45pm (4 hour session)
Monday Tuesday and Thursday 12.45 – 3.15pm (2 ½ hour session) |

Cost?
As a pre-school provider we are registered with Ofsted and Oxfordshire’s Early Years Service. This allows us to receive the Nursery grant.
Nursery grant entitles a payment of £8.50 for one 2 1/2 hour session.
We have divided this sum up to give a rate of £1.70 for every 1/2 hour. The afternoon sessions are 2 1/2 hours so there is no additional charges.
Monday Tuesday and Thursday morning sessions are for 3 hours so we ask parents to help support the running costs at Stepping Stones by paying at the same rate of the nursery grant for the additional 1/2 hour that your child is in Stepping Stones.
Friday morning is charged 1 1/2 hours as the children stay to lunch and the session is longer, 4 hours in total. |

Music, dance, drama, P.E, role-play, stories, painting and construction are just a few of the activities we use to encourage a child to grow through our Bible based topics at Stepping Stones pre-school. We really believe that Stepping stones is like an extended family that works together to encourage and support one another.
One of our key foundation stones is based on Proverbs 22 v 6 “Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it”, this is a promise from God.
Our first graduates are now either at university or taking their gap year.
