Who are we?
We are a citywide church family, with a vision to see 'town' and 'gown' worshipping Christ together and engaged in mission. We meet at 10:30 on Sunday mornings at the King's Centre. Sometimes people ask us why we run separate student Fusion groups, rather than getting students involved with community groups with the rest of the church.  The reason is, purely and simply, that students are the best people to reach students with the Gospel.  We are clear, however, that God wants us to be an inter-cultural, inter-generational, inter-class family.  So we look for other ways to break down the town and gown divide, like student lunches (more on this very important part of our church life together soon), personal pastoring, and other creative ways of building relationships across the ‘great divide’.
What is our vision?
Building Family God is a 'family-man'. He wants a big family - one that includes old and young, 'town and gown', black and white - and eveybody else too! Coming away from home (for what may be the first time) can leave us feeling vulnerable and alone. We want every single student to feel welcomed and find a place as a significant member of God's family here in Oxford. Infecting Students You would be forgiven for asking (a) what that means and (b) whether in fact an 'infection' is what you are looking for at university! Our hope is that you would be radically inspired by Christ and his kingdom of God so that you are indeed 'infected' with it and 'spoilt' for anything else. We believe that your future, whatever the specifics, is tied up in knowing God, we would therefore love to help you get to know him better during your time here.   Going to People There are people everywhere who desperately need love and care and the opportunity to hear about and discover for themselves the love of God and His forgiveness.
