 Exploring Christianity

Fusion animated

Discovering more about Jesus is exciting! He always exceeds expectations. So, we enjoy helping people to explore who he is, what he did and said. We try to provide a range of ways of doing this, and offer the following at the moment.

Alpha courses

Over 2 million people in the UK and 8 million worldwide have now done the Alpha course, which explores the meaning of life by looking at basic Christian teaching. It runs in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world.

Each evening consists of a meal together, followed by a 20 minute talk on a specific subject (such as prayer or healing) and open discussion in a small group. No questions are barred, and discussion is usually wide ranging! More information about the Alpha course can be found at the national Alpha website

Want to find out more? Just get in touch with johnb@occ.org.uk and he can put you in touch with the people running an alpha course in (or very near) your hall or college.

Guest Events
We run regular events designed for enquirers and sceptics, or simply for friends! Some include discussion about Jesus, whilst others provide an opportunity to meet people in the church.

Visit with a friend!
Get one of your friends to bring you along or find your own way to our Sunday morning meeting (directions can be found here). Whether you come by yourself or with a friend, you'll get a warm welcome.
