What has God said to us as students?

Mike Madden (an OCC leader) saw a prophetic vision: He saw balls of fire falling on a number of halls of residence and colleges in the universities. God wants to light fires in individual students' rooms that will spread throughout the whole university.
Amanda Titmas (LMH) knowing nothing of Mike's vision, had a dream in which her room was on fire. In the dream, as she tried to put it out God clearly said "No - don't put it out". The next Sunday she had a remarkable experience: knowing nothing of the vision, she was just talking about her dream to her boyfriend when we described Mike's 'balls of fire' vision and announced the follow-up 'Lighting the Fire' meeting! Another student saw a picture of a forest. Scattered through the forest were trees on fire, which dried out the trees around them and caused the fire the spread. She felt the trees were students, who by prayer, would see God's fire spread. |

Jim Harper (an OCC member at our Cote church), whilst praying for students at an OCC Area prayer meeting, had a picture of a fire bomb in a house. Apparently(!!), to make a good petrol bomb you need to vapourise the fuel first, so that it spreads throughout the house, then ignite it. The first stage is unseen; then the spectacular explosion! (The message: it is important to create the right atmosphere necessary for God to cause his explosion)
Balls of fire - further confirmation...
Arthur Thangiah, visiting from Bombay Baptist Church. Arthurs' word is significant, as it strongly reinforces the 'balls of fire' word, yet Arthur knew nothing of that original prophetic word.
As Mike (Beaumont) took us around the city of Oxford, he showed us the place where the two bishops were burned and I understand that they said, even as they were being burned, that there will be a fire that will come that will never be put out. As I've gond around Oxford, many people whom I have met... people in the Asian church too... have told me about this place in the centre of Oxford where two bishops were burned who said that there is a fire which will come which will never be put out. I was going home and I was praying, and as I was praying there were two things that came into my spirit: |
|
|
The first is that, even as I heard those words, it was as if I was also part of those people who were burning the bishops. I became part of Oxford city, crying out for the sins of the city, and as I cry out for the sins of the city, I feel that I am one with the city, burning up those bishops.
The second thing that came into my spirit was, as they were burned, they were crying out: Lord, let the fire come that will never be put out. That was hundreds of years ago. But since then, many "flames" have come up, but the "fire" has still not come up, the "fire" has still not come up. So the blood of the martyrs is crying out, as in Revelation: "How long, oh Lord, how long, oh Lord?" And the Lord is still waiting, he is still waiting there is going to be "fire", not just flames, but "fire."
As I was praying about this (I submit this to the leaders here) I felt within my spirit this: I felt as if there were angelic hosts that were coming down from heaven. They burst through many principalities and powers that were there. As they came down it was like, they were just coming at such full speed that the principalities and powers just gave way the angels just burst through.
And then there were balls of fire that were being dropped, and I saw three places where the balls of fire were being dropped. The first ball of fire was dropped in the university, and there were key students and key professors on whom the ball of fire was being dropped. Then there was a second ball of fire that was dropped on the people who were in the city council there. I was waiting for the third ball of fire to fall, but it didn't fall in Oxford, but I could see around Oxford in different places at some distances away, balls of fire were being dropped. (And the Lord was impressing on my spirit to pray. We have different times of prayer when we pray for England and we pray for Oxford, we will continue to pray for this.) In different places, there will be revival fires that will come. As these fires fell down in different places, from the centre of Oxford people were coming to these different places and the fire was being taken slowly along with them to the centre and then to that very place where the bishops were burned. I am going to be praying, "Lord, where these two bishops cried out as they were being burn, let a fire start that will never burn out. Lord it is your purpose that the angels who are ready with the fire, that that fire will drop, that fire will drop."
"And I believe God's favour is upon you and there is just this whole emphasis - all I could see was thin strips of metal like that, and people could bend them, people could twist them and people could make all types and sorts of shapes out of these pieces of metal.
|
But all I saw was you bringing like this dozen and this fifteen and this twenty and this twelve with this eight - the strips of metal together. And I saw you with your acetylene torch you were moulding them and welding them together and out of that people couldn't bend them, people couldn't twist them and people couldn't move them because this welding that you brought in made them so strong and so together. |
But at times God would say he would give you as it were instruments that would cut them and divide them and multiply them. Because I believe you're in something that is so as it were small at this particular time but it's a thing that's, it's a movement it's a work of the Spirit of God that's going to start to blast in and touch the youth culture across this nation regardless of background, colour, creed, culture, education or anything else. But it's going to have an impact - because God is after your generation."
[Those of us present at this meeting saw immediately the clear prophetic reference to Fusion (welding, the fusing of metal together) and the exciting promise of God that this small movement will grow to touch a generation of young people across UK. There were also personal aspects to the word (omitted from this summary) that further confirmed its authenticity.]
