Expressive Arts 2010
At the end of last term, our senior pupils took time off normal lessons as part of their annual expressive arts week. This year, the subject was 'resurection hope' and it culminated in two evenings of exciting and at times, very moving, performences. A class of writers!
The children in Y6 recently submitted some of their work to the Young Writers' Mini Sagas competition. They each had to compose a 'mini saga' based upon a theme that inspired them, with the added challenge of using 50 words or less.more
Football Success
Congratulations to our Y7/8 football team who won their first match of the season, 6:3 to Cokethorpe B side. It was an encouraging start to the season and the boys are now looking forward to their next match.
Chess Champion!
Congratulations to Luke, one of our junior pupils who came first in an Oxfordshire Under-9 chess tournamant and to another pupil, Ben, who did very well in what was his first tournament.
Snow Hero!
Thank you to staff, parents and pupils for your flexibility during the recent cold weather. We hope that the snow is now beginning to thaw and that school can now continue as normal. However, as we have done, we will continue to use the 'snow tree', email and local radio (BBC Oxford and Heart FM) to notify everyone of any changes to the school day.more
Send a smile
This term, our primary pupils took part in the Blue Peter 'Send a Smile' appeal. Blue Peter has teamed up with Operation Smile, a global charity that has 5,000 medical volunteers in 42 of the world's poorest countries, ready to perform free reconstructive surgery on children with cleft lip or cleft palate.more

Congratulations Ella!
Congratulations go to Ella, one of our infants, whose artwork was chosen for the Mayor's carol service card. She and her family attended the switching on of the Witney Christmas lights and she was presented with her prize by Mr David Cameron. See her winning entry.
