'Primary Maths Challenge' Finals

William from Y6 has been presented with a bronze award in the recent 'Primary Maths Challenge' issued by The Mathematical Association. The Challenge is aimed at the top 60% of pupils in primary schools throughout the country.

Over 93000 pupils under the age of 11 years took the first part of the challenge in November 2008. William was one of only 692 pupils then invited to take part in the harder 'Finals Challenge' in February this year. It was in this second challenge that William won a bronze award, showing that he is one of the best young mathematicians in the country.
