Y8 go hunting for animals and adventure!

On a glorious sunny day, Y8 had the pleasure of visiting the Cotswold Wildlife Park to take some photos and sketches for their wildlife art project. According to Miss Le, they all had a fantastic time; the Y8s proved to be enthusiatic photographers and took dozens of pictures which have since been used as visual research to create some detailed clay models of the animals.

Like the Y7s, they also had the opportunity to spend time with Adventure Plus and Oliver gave us this report.

"This summer, Y8 went on an exciting day out with Adventure Plus to do archery, canoeing and climbing. When we got there, we were welcomed by the instructors. First they took us to the climbing wall and most of us were physically and mentally challenged by this! The best bit was abseiling down after we had got to the top. We had to work together and trust one another with all the ropes. The staff were very supportive when we were stuck and so were my peers, which was a great sign of friendship. We then went to do some archery which was great fun! Francis was the best at this. After lunch we went to Bampton and got on the River Thames. Sam and Chikolum capsized within seconds! We played really fun games in the canoes as well as having an actual canoe trip. The instructors were a great help, especially when people capsized (which was quite often!) The activities were all great fun and the instructors were also great. I personally enjoyed the day very much and I think everyone else did too."
