'For years I used to read all the information about the King's School and think that that’s great but it’s not for me or my children... I decided to go to an open evening about a year before we had to make a school choice for (our son), really so I could rule the Kings School out. I arrived and was greeted by an absolutely delightful y6 pupil who gave me an in-depth tour of the school. I then sat down for the address of the principal. I didn’t hear a word he said because all I could hear was God saying “I’d really like you to send (your son) here”. I tried to ignore it but when God speaks you just can’t... I will never forget on the way home from school on one cold winter afternoon, saying “so what did you do today,” and (my son) replying “nothing much, we did letter H in Father God’s alphabet today and I gave my heart to God; it was broken and now its mended”.
