Green Travel Policy   "Our intent is to reduce the environmental impact of our travel demands on God’s creation through raising travel awareness amongst employees and congregation members, and through encouraging environment-conscious travel behaviour.” The King's Centre is working in partnership with Oxford City Council to reduce the number of car movements on Ferry Hinksey Road. To help you we have implemented a ‘traffic light’ system to understand travel and parking arrangements for meetings at The King’s Centre. These graphics will be used in our publicity for events as follows: Green A green traffic light indicates that parking on-site is available, and there will be enough space for everyone. However, since our aim is to reduce traffic travelling in the industrial estate, we still ask that people try to share cars and travel together.   Amber An amber traffic light indicates that parking on-site is available, although it is unlikely that there will be enough space for everyone. For these meetings we ask that people try to share cars and travel together.   Red There is no on-site parking available, except for allocated parking permits (for the elderly, the disabled, young families, and visitors etc.) There is a special, free ‘Park and Ride’ bus service to transport you from the Seacourt Park and Ride car park to The King’s Centre (there will be a small charge for parking).   Why not leave your car at the Seacourt Park and Ride and travel by bus to The King’s Centre. Parking time is unlimited so enjoy a walk in the city after the meeting at your leisure and pleasure before returning home!
