Pupils requiring Special Consideration

For the majority of the children in the school, the small teaching groups enable teachers to give pupils the individual attention they require. In some lessons a further support with learning is provided for pupils by parents acting as teaching assistants. However, some children may require additional support. Provision is then made through lesson withdrawal for one to one tuition. Pupils with educational needs are encouraged to use the computers / laptop to record work.

Pupils with an Educational Statement

For children with a Statement issued by the local Education Authority the following is provided:
• Individual Education plans are written.
• Class support or individual tuition is given as, and where, appropriate.
• Termly reviews with parents, head teacher, class teacher and SENCO are organised.
• Annual reviews are arranged to which representatives of local educational services are also invited.
