Welcome to The King’s School website. We are a Christian co-ed independent school in West Oxfordshire for pupils aged 5-16 years. The school is part of the work of Oxfordshire Community Churches (OCC). This group of churches has been pioneering in the field of Christian education since 1984 when we started The King’s School in Witney, the first purpose build school of its kind in the UK. The school is now well established, operating both Primary and Senior sites with excellent academic results. Stepping Stones acts as a feeder to The King’s School but also welcomes children who may go onto other schools. OCC is also seeking to develop other pre-schools around Oxfordshire.
So what makes The King’s School unique? We believe it is the Christian education we are providing for our pupils, an education founded upon biblical principles and a God-centred world-view. The aim is to help every child know his or her worth. We seek to foster those traits of character, which ought to mark out Christians, such as integrity, honesty, care and compassion. We encourage each child to achieve academically at the level of his or her own ability, recognising that each is an individual with differing needs and potential. Worship and prayer are an integral part of daily life in the school.
