Full Details:
13:30- 14:45 Pub lunch at The Chequers Inn, Charney Bassett. Please contact Judith Thomasson if you wish to reserve a place for lunch at the pub.
15:00 Family walk (2.5 mile circular), to walk around an iron age grassy hill fort and return to Charney Bassett, where there is a playground (swings etc!) for the kids.
For those who may wish to walk further, a break away group will head towards Pusey village from Cherbury Camp and then head back around to Charney Bassett.
Walk Start and End point: Junction of New Road with Buckland Road (the village Post Office is on New Road if you require a landmark to head for, though the walk does not start from the post office!).
Suitability: This walk traverses grassy footpaths and fields, so please bring appropriate footwear (it may be muddy). Not suitable for buggies / pushchairs.
