Beautiful morning Beautiful day Beautiful God

It truly is a beautiful morning. I was out this morning – going for the slowest jog on record – and finished it off by walking home through a field of buttercups. It was beautiful. The birds were singing the sun was shining and life felt good. God felt good.

God is good – all the time.

In moments like these when all feels right with the world and in moments when it feels like the world might all be falling apart. God is good - it's what we were hearing on Sunday at the celebration. That field I was walking through? It's ear marked for a housing development - all around us there are problems some of which we can see approaching faster than we'd like. However God has the answer - of course! Look to Him, look at his goodness, look at his glory.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Cor 4 v16-18)

And that field of buttercups - helps me to fix my eyes on Jesus, it reminds me of God's goodness and his glory. Why not go out and find your buttercup field today.....
