Transform

Jul 25, 2020 – Jul 30, 2020 Church Camp – a chance to camp and enjoy fellowship with our larger network of Churches – the Advance Sphere Group.

Early Booking deadline extended 31st January 2020 so book soon!

Children’s groups and youth work is excellent too.

‘We believe that investing in the lives of our young ones at an event like Transform is a unique opportunity: An opportunity to impart God’s love to those who haven’t yet received it; an opportunity to teach and train young lives about Jesus’ kingdom and the gifts of God; an opportunity to commission and encourage children as they lead their peers and grow in confidence to lead others in works of service and to relationship with Jesus.’

If you have never camped before or are not a fan of camping - it is still for you! The benefits of fellowship and spending quality time with God outweigh everything!

Talk to anyone on the connect team or your small group leader for more information and support or Visit saltlight.org for more info or go to the facebook page

Prayer Space in Schools

Prayer space is happening at King Alfred’s School over lunchtimes. If you could spend 30 minutes manning the space with Jane Beckley please contact Jane on jbeckley@kaacademy.org

Calling all Knitters!

As you may know, end hunger UK plan to send as many newly-elected or re-elected MPs as possible a piece of knitted food – to let them know that folk around the country want politicians to act now to end hunger in the UK. We will be asking them to show their support by tweeting a picture of themselves with the woolly foodstuff.

At the last count we had an amazing 517 individual knitted or crocheted foodstuffs. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent something in, they are amazing! This is now the final push to meet the target of 650 and reach every MP.

We have been blown away by all the items that we have received but we need you to keep going! We need the yarn-talented among you to make as many carrots, cakes and Cornish pasties and anything else you can think of as possible and send them to us by 17 February.
