Alpha Course

We are running an Alpha course during the sermon on Sundays. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. Please pray for those on the course and those running the course – if you would like to provide cakes for this group one week please see Tyrone or Kristal.

Sunday Socials

These are held on the first Sunday of each month at Annie and Howard’s they start after Church with a ‘bring and share’ lunch, followed by a walk, or a film or something else (depending on the weather and what everyone would like to do).  Everyone is welcome, come for just the lunch or go home for lunch and join us later as you prefer. Next one is 4th November.


Calling all Superheroes!!

Wednesday 31st October 4.30 - 6pm Hotdogs, crafts, music, face painting and games (& goody bag) for all primary and preschool children and fab alternative to halloween. Superheroes, knights & Princesses Fancy dress welcome (but no ghosts or monsters please) See D if you are able to help out at this event.

We meet at Eileen and Andy’s – for all who help with children’s work on a Sunday morning – a chance to discuss and plan.


School’s Prayer Group

This group meets three times a year for this next academic year the dates are:-

The Dickensian Evening is Friday 7th December - we have in the past run a stall as part of our church outreach. WE were unable to run a stall last year - but have been approached again - does anyone feel they have faith for this venture - or an idea of what we can offer to the evening? Maybe talk about it in your small group and get back to someone on the connect team with your ideas and offers of help.


The Gathering

This is a men's weekend festival like no other! It's fun, it's life changing, it's THE standout event for guys.

Taking place 21 - 23 June 2019 in a field near Swindon the Gathering features:

Supernatural Advance

Camping is back! At Lenchwood Christian Centre 25th -28th July 2019, there will be…


We will be gathering for vibrant, spirit-led worship! There will be times to worship as a whole church family together as well as worship in each group.


We have invited some great speakers to share inspirational and equipping preaching and teaching throughout the event.

Kids & Youth

We have an excellent range of groups for children and youth, catering for everyone between 0–18 years, with worship, games and teaching tailored to each group.


There will be loads of opportunity to spend time with people. We will also have recreation activities each afternoon.

Prayer Life

Philippa has been helping organise and administrate the prayer life of the church - but due to extra commitments this year has had to take a step back - but a very big thank you to her! (And if you’d like to be involved in helping shape and develop the prayer life of WCC - talk to D!)


Help Needed- Wednesday 31st October- as a church we run a highly successful Superheroes Party for all pre-school and primary aged children. The team are in need of some help this year - either with set up from 3pm, or manning the craft and games from 4pm - talk to D or Kristal if you can help.


China Trip 2019!!

Liz and Oliver are planning another trip to China April 8-21st April (provisionally) if you are interested please do talk to them by 31st October. Also please do pray: Luke has struggled to settle back into China since their return in September and Susie has had a minor stroke - please pray for healing, peace and grace on the whole family.


Food Bankneed FOOD - are shelves are nearly empty and a busy time of year is coming up! Please bring to church or drop off at Cornerstone any of the following: soup, tinned fish, tinned meat, tinned veg, pasta sauce, tea, coffee, UHT milk, long-life juice, jam, tinned fruit and biscuits. (Please note we cannot accept homemade produce or out of date items or fresh fruit / perishable items)
