Four baptisms and a run

A friend pointed out that it's nearly a year since I last posted to my blog. When I started, I managed to fix a time in the week when I would sit down and write my blog entry, but the rhythm of life changed and I forgot to keep up with the blog. So, turning over a new leaf, time to start again.

The last two weeks have been full of delight for me, from the Cross in the Square, to Paul's run, via the awesome Easter Sunday baptisms. Where to start?

It's always a privilege to baptise people, but I was epsecially pleased to baptise four people, on Easter Sunday morning, in the building we normally use. It felt truly both "us" and very inclusive as we gathered with 60+ guests, worshiped together, prayed together, and baptised Dave, Annie, Hugo and Miranda. May they know every blessing of God as they continue to walk with him in the coming weeks.

Then, on Monday, Paul's run. I've had lots of very positive feedback on the event - and many suggestions that it should become annual. Over 80 people entered and most completed the course, fastest was the speedy Johnny cornish, slowest was yours truly. But I had been told to finish last by the organisers, so I thought I'd better! Pictures from the run are available here (Howard) and here (Mike G).
