Equipping the Church to reach the broken - a training day on eating disorders and self-harm
Every single day, young men and women are struggling with eating disorders, self-harm, depression and the effects of abuse in all its forms. These people are in our communities, in our churches, in our youth groups, and in our families.
Jointly hosted by experienced members of the Mercy Ministries UK team and Lifeline Eating Disorders Support (OCC southern area's compassion project), MPower training events educate, equip, empower and encourage others in order to maximise the church’s response to the broken and vulnerable through sessions focussed on raising awareness and sharing best practise.
On the day you will learn more about eating disorders and self harm, as well as practical tools to help you provide support to those you know in your community struggling with these life controlling issues.
The normal cost per person is £35. This cost includes lunch, refreshments and a presentation pack containing all handouts from the day. (A limited number of concessions are available for OCC members involved in pastoral care in this area, please apply to info@lifelinesupport.co.uk)
