Known,
Loved,
Connected

We love families at Oxford Community Church! Our vision is for kids and youth to realise that they are known personally by God, loved fully through Jesus, and connected powerfully by the Holy Spirit.

We run a range of activities for 0-18s, both for those already in our church, and those curious about faith and looking for community.

Sunday Activities

Every Sunday our 0-18’s ministry strives to see every child and young person known, loved and connected to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These firm foundations run throughout all our age groups, and help shape the way we equip families as they journey with us in faith.

On a typical Sunday kids and youth join for the start of the service, and their group activities kick off at 11.00.

Tiny Tots is for kids aged 0–4.

Here you’ll find a wonderful community of young families, where we welcome the Holy Spirit as a playmate. There’s always lots of bubbles to settle little ones and loads of support for parents who are taking first steps into parenthood and faith.

King’s Kids is for primary-aged children.

This is the place where children discover that Jesus is alive, and that the Holy Spirit can use them to do amazing things in their world. Every child is a disciple in the making, being equipped to love others through Jesus.

Youth is for 11-18 year olds.

Our youth community is a place where we encourage and support young people to live out a genuine faith where their ‘head knowledge’ also lives in their hearts. They are interactive sessions that typically involve fun and games, teaching, and a chance to discuss and pray together.

Midweek Youth Activities

Church is not just for Sundays. We also run activities at different times in the week, such as our midweek youth groups, and events with other churches in the Salt & Light Advance family.

Youth Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups (DGs) meet on Wednesday evenings 19.00-20.30 at The King’s Centre, every week in term time, except the weeks with Friday socials. We have a few different groups, some split by age or gender, all meeting at the same time. And we’ll occasionally have an activity all together at the beginning.

Discipleship Groups are a chance to go deeper in our faith, explore big questions, and share life together as we get stuck in following Jesus. It’s not just learning about God, it’s about being transformed and equipped by his Holy Spirit as we walk with Jesus, together.

Youth Friday Socials

We have big social evenings monthly, generally on the first Friday of the month, at The King’s Centre, from 19.00-21.00.

With exciting activities like bake-offs, music, and more, these are a fun social space and a great place to invite friends! We also have occasional trips on Friday evenings, for activities like climbing or wide games at the park.

Youth Sphere Events

We also participate in a few wider youth events run by the Salt & Light Advance family of churches.

These include Relentless youth camp weekend in April, and Monster Turkey, a crazy overnight Christmas party with extravagant fun and games, food, and inflatables.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a high priority for us. We want to create safe and healthy environments for all who come into contact with us. All our 0-18s leaders are DBS checked, and on Sundays can be easily identified by colourful t-shirts and badges.
