Jesus said: ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’ (John 10:10)
Students at OCC
We believe you are made for more! You are created for fulness of life and unique purpose. At Oxford Community Church, we’re passionate about helping you step into all that God has for you.
Our student group is made up of people from Oxford University and Oxford Brookes. We seek to be a community that’s:
Alive in the Spirit
Transformed by encountering the living God
Filled with his Holy Spirit
Increasingly knowing his love, his voice and your identity in him
Devoted to Jesus
Following him with your whole life
Committed to community and discipleship
Meeting with him through the Bible, prayer and worship
Equipped for Purpose
Discovering more of what God has made you to do
Passionate to see his kingdom come in our city, our nation and the nations
Confident in sharing your faith and discipling others
What do we do?
We gather in town for a Student Night on Thursdays. This is an opportunity to encounter God in worship and prayer, receive practical teaching and training, grow in hearing his voice, and enjoying time in small groups, getting to know one another and grow in community.
Every Sunday we join with the church to worship from 10.30. And after the service we offer a free lunch for students, usually at the church building or occasionally in people’s homes across the city.
We also offer Personal Pastoring – a chance for students to meet regularly with a mentor or member of the student team; someone who will encourage you and help you grow in your walk with God.
