“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city... and pray to the Lord for it." (Jeremiah 29.7)

Join us in bringing life to our city and our region.

Serving the City

As followers of Jesus, we want to be good news to our city, serving in practical ways, as a demonstration of God’s love and care for all people.

Here are some of the ways we are currently serving our city and beyond. Find out more, and discover how you can play your part.

Safe Families

Safe Families works with 50+ Local Authorities across the country, connecting volunteers from churches and other partner organisations with families in need of extra support.

Since 2024, 15 churches from across the city have partnered together to run Safe Families Oxford. Find out more about what we do, and how you can get involved.

Edge Housing

Edge Housing offers a home, a hope, and a future for Oxford’s homeless.

We provide accommodation and support to over 30 residents at any one time, including recovery homes and rooms for those with no access to benefits.

We support our residents through one to one work, group activities, and signposting, with the aim to build self esteem, resilience and support networks which lead to recovery, employment and moving on to independent accommodation.

Education

God cares passionately about children and their futures, and he has led us specifically to invest in education. We are currently in partnerships with two schools, each with a different character but the same loving God at the centre.

Tyndale Community School

We are the founding partner of Tyndale Community School, a primary Free School in East Oxford, run by Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust.

Tyndale shares a broad, generous and inclusive Christian ethos, welcoming children and families from all faiths and none, inviting everyone to work together towards the good of the whole community.

The King’s School Witney

The King's School Witney is an independent, non-selective, co-educational Christian school, run by Oxfordshire Community Churches, where staff and parents work together to help students know God and be well prepared for his future for them.

Renew Oxford

Renew Oxford is an initiative of Oxford Community Church, in partnership with many churches across the city.

We love to unite churches to respond to the most pressing social challenges in our city. As we come together, we’re believing for a transformed Oxford where the church’s impact is stronger and more collaborative than ever.
